Glorietta Bay Inn

Absolutely amazing experience staying here. Worth the splurge for an in mansion room (sunset room had a lovely private outdoor area with a porch swing!) Traveled with a partner for the winter holidays, first time in the area. The pool was fun, the breakfast was tasty and fresh/flexible, the staff was considerate and accommodating. Walkable area as well with plenty to do nearby :)

We were in town for a wedding and would definitely recommend staying at Glorietta Bay Inn. The location was great- walking distance to the Del and many great restaurants. The mansion was lovely and our room was clean and comfortable. We were not in the main building, but just behind and upstairs- very conveniently located. We had a nice balcony to enjoy the beautiful weather, too. The complimentary daily breakfast was very nice. It was also delicious. Eating out on the patio each morning, enjoying the nice weather was wonderful. Just beware of the large seagulls, if eating on the patio. They will snatch your food if left unattended! The coffee machine with freshly ground coffee beans were we could get a variety of coffee selections (I would get an latte) being available each day until 11pm was also nice. We enjoyed coming back to the hotel in the afternoon and enjoying a cup of fresh coffee on the outside patio or on our balcony. Every hotel personnel we encountered was nice, friendly and accommodating. We did not take advantage of the “resort” features, so I can’t speak to those. They have a small pool that looked nice and inviting, but we didn’t access it. There was also a hot tub. We did not have a car, but it looked like there was plenty of available parking. We would definitely stay at the Glorietta again.

We booked a standard room as a last minute get-away. I didn't realize that most of the rooms are motel-style with doors opening to parking lots and walkways. We probably wouldn't have booked knowing this. Our room was directly across from the back entrance to the lobby and it could get pretty loud. The walls are also very thin so there was a lot of noise both above us and next to us. Our room was also very small- smaller than the picture. I'd booked that room because it had an extra chair next to the bed so my husband could work on the computer and be comfortable but our room was so small that the chair wasn't there as it wouldn't fit. That being said, the room was clean, the carpet looked like it had been replaced recently. They also had large, fluffy bath towels and all the basic amenities we needed. The staff was really friendly. The location was ideal - right on Orange Street (main part of the village) and surrounded by shops and restaurants.

Absolutely charming hotel! The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and had many options to choose from. A special shout out to Alex and Yana for their outstanding customer service. They went above and beyond to help me during my stay! Thank you all for a great experience. We can't wait to come back next year.

We stayed at the Glorietta Bay Inn for our wedding weekend in September 2023. Our coordinator, Jordan was extremely helpful, professional and friendly while getting 13 of my out of state wedding guests booked at this Inn. Between my guests different time zones/states and busy schedules…Jordan Tran was able to get all of my guest needs met. My family said they had a great experience working with Jordan too. My husband, my wedding guests and I felt welcomed staying here. I will come back to stay here for a staycation! Rooms are clean, breakfast buffet taste good and accessibility to the center of Coronado is walkable from this Inn. We got married at Coronado Community City which is less than 5 minute drive from Glorietta Bay Inn. This was very helpful for my wedding party to get to the ceremony on time and my bridal party had a great time getting ready in the Garden Suite. The suite had beautiful places to take, “getting ready photos” the day of my wedding. Our rehearsal dinner was at Miguel’s Restaurant which was walking distance from the hotel (less than five minutes). This hotel is a charming hotel which is different from most hotels you see in San Diego and the staff (Jordan and General Manager Claudia) greets you with genuine smiles which made us feel happy staying here. I would absolutely recommend my friends and family to stay here again! :) I would give them 10 stars if I could! :)

Glorietta Bay Inn went above and beyond to accommodate us and our guests for our wedding. Jordan was especially helpful in the several months that we communicated. We had a few unique requests, and he offered several different options to help make sure that we had the perfect stay. The rooms are great (especially the penthouse suite) and all our guests were super happy that they stayed there! The location couldn't be better too- right across the street from the beach and next to several restaurants.

Excellent location, price was amazing for a family of 4, and service/amenities top notch. We loved the convenience, within walking distance of beach, hotel Del, shops, and dining. Easy access to Coronado Bridge. Pool was clean. Room was clean. Lobby was immaculate. Daily large buffet breakfast was a huge bonus for our family. PLUS beach chairs, beach towels and boogies boards to borrow every day - THANK YOU very much! We booked directly and parking was included in our daily resort fee - nice bonus!

Really appreciated the well cared for aspect of this historic hotel. No weird smells, updated furnishings, beautifully kept original period details. A wonderful hot and cold breakfast daily with nearly everything you could hope for. The coffee machines are a little slow, but offer many options. (FYI, There is a 2nd in the back indoor seating area.) Appreciated the fruit infused water in the morning and the on demand hot and cold water all day too! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Parking being included in the resort fee was well worth it since we had a crew cab long bed pickup truck that we were apprehensive about where we could find parking. Location, location, location... you are right near everything from the beach to entertainment + about any type of food you could hope for. We booked the small/cozy room not expecting to be in the room much. We pack light and aren't large people, so it worked well for us. Pillows were very comfy and the sheets very soft/pleasant. The mattress was firmer than we like, but we survived. Lol. We were notified there was construction going on nearby, but weren't really prepared for the core drilling, large tractors, and excavators literally right outside our window with people shouting and moving metal things around before 7am. Would certainly consider returning again in the future, after the construction is complete.
